About Restitutia
A public archive of case files on firms that financial regulators have warned about, built from official registers, the firms' own websites, public domain records and our own monitoring.
What this site is
Regulators publish warning lists, but an entry on a list is a name, a website and a date. Restitutia adds what can be verified around that entry: what the firm's website said about itself on a given day, when its domain was registered, whether it is still online, and where those facts contradict each other. The result is a case file per firm, 95 of them at the last build, covering 18 regulators in 18 countries.
The site is operated by Refundee Ltd, a claims management company registered in England and Wales (company number 12855931), registered office 3rd Floor, 86-90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE. Enquiries submitted through the form on any page are handled by OnlineRefundee, the international client-service brand of the same company.
Where the facts come from
- Regulator registers. Only entries published by a financial regulator on its own warning list, or through the IOSCO investor alerts portal, can create a case file. News reports and third-party lists never do.
- The firm's own website. We load the public website named by the regulator, take a screenshot and record the statements it makes about regulation, licences, history, returns, clients and contact details. The capture date is printed under every screenshot.
- Domain records. Registration date, registrar and status come from the public RDAP registration database for the domain's registry. Some country-code domains publish no such record, and those case files say nothing about the domain.
- Our monitoring. Since 17 July 2026 we have checked each listed site on a regular basis and recorded whether it answered. "First seen online", "still online" and "last seen online" are those observations, nothing more.
What the figures mean
- Days from domain registration to the warning is the gap between the registry's registration date and the regulator's publication date or, where we only hold the copy on IOSCO's investor alerts portal, the day IOSCO listed it. 60 of the 93 case files where both the registration date and the warning date are known show a domain under six months old at the time of the warning.
- Online after the warning counts days from the warning to our most recent check that found the site live, or to the last day it was seen live if it has since gone dark.
- Red flags are contradictions computed from the record, for example a site citing the regulator that issued the warning, or describing itself as licensed while on a public warning list. They are observations about documents, not accusations.
What this site is not
A regulator warning means the regulator says the firm is not authorised to offer the services it offers. It is not a finding that anyone committed a crime, and nothing on this site should be read that way. We do not rate firms, and we do not claim that money sent to any firm named here can be recovered; whether it can depends on the facts of each case.
Since 12 October 2026 a firm gets a new case file of its own when its website makes a claim the record contradicts, or when the record shows two red flags plus a fact specific to the firm, such as a login-only website, warnings from more than one regulator, a clone warning or membership of a connected group. Case files published under the earlier rule of two red flags stay online. Every other firm on the same lists has a card with the facts we hold on its regulator's page. The absence of a case file says nothing about a firm.
Why this site exists
Restitutia is run by a claims management company, and we say so on every page. People who lost money to a firm on a warning list search for it by name; a case file gives them the regulator's warning and the facts around it in one place, free and without asking for anything. If they want help, they can ask for a free case check. If we take a case, our fee is a percentage of what is recovered, set out before anything is signed. Reading a case file never commits anyone to anything.
The dates come from the regulators' own publications where we can reach them. Where we only hold the copy on IOSCO's investor alerts portal, which repeats regulators' warnings, often some days later, the page says so.
Corrections
If you represent a firm named here and believe a fact is wrong, or if a regulator has withdrawn a warning, email support@onlinerefundee.com with the page address and the evidence. We check every report against the source and correct or remove what does not hold.
